I felt very safe walking around at night. We did stay primarily in condesa, Roma and reforma neighborhoods which I believe are among the safest

If you can get into any sort of event at Estadio Azteca, it's cool and worth seeing. Id go back for pastor tacos and just try them anywhere i found them.. Also, enjoyed these restaurants:

El Tizoncito
Lalo!
El Moro

And I'd also agree with the first two suggestions. Teotihuacan was a great sight. Id suggest getting there early before it gets too crowded if you can make it.

Both great choices, I would also try to go to Chapultepec if you have time.
