My Opinion On The Wade Situation

First, I do not care if college players get paid or not. I also understand that all big time colleges do this. If you think Wade is innocent you are fooling yourself. I think short term this will play out like the Arizona situation did last year. I think Wade will be back for the NCAA tournament, if not before. If Smart sits any, I think he will be back before the NCAA tournament also. I think eventually this will lead to Wade leaving LSU. The one thing I am concerned about is that they might come hard after LSU as they did Ole Miss when they started winning in football. Why is our basketball recruiting class not as strong as last year? Did Wade know the heat was about to be on and he wanted to do everything by the book? Did he think I’ll do what I need to for one strong class, have 2 or 3 good years and go to a bigger school?

Sean Miller is on tape offering 100k for players and has yet to be punished. This whole thing makes the NCAA look worse than it already did if that was possible.

He was closing in on targets but had not signed them. That does not make my argument dead.
