Been to the one in between Dallas and Fort Worth. Lots of activities to do for the kids around the holidays and The place will be decorated like nothing you’ve probably ever seen before. The rooms are expensive that there are staff everywhere to accommodate every need. We spent a lot of time in the waterpark which gets pretty crowded, although it was fun. We spent two nights there and by the time we checked out we were ready to leave, lots of fun, but the “fun” just seems to never stop once you get there..... which is awesome if you are 9, not so much when you’re 42

To my knowledge not a lot in that area. You do have Callaway Gardens not too far away and I believe there is a animal safari place in Pine Mountain.

When they were building GWL I thought it was a strange area just because it's kind of around nothing but I could be mistaken. Right off of I85 so at least it will be easy to get to.
