Maybe not the right board, but I was curious if anyone here had experience or ideas related to finding a group of developers for a website idea (not an app). I have been building some functional specifications in a word doc, and I'm not at the point where I would like to discuss with some folks who are experienced in building sites to determine an estimated up-front development cost, timeline, and "do-ability." Basically, determine if this is something I can/should pursue more seriously.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why don't you just build it yourself? Could be a good experience. I mean if you're into that kind of thing. If you're writing actual specs ( nerd brother) it seems like something you may be interested in.

Unfortunately, I think the idea requires a lot more than basic coding. It would likely require a high level of security, integration of licenses from the major word processing software, and building an interactive set of features that I haven't seen built before. Although, I'd be more than happy to pitch in to the effort.

I guess at this point, I'm not yet ready to dive in to create it, more understanding from someone the effort/skill/money necessary to create.
