just wondering how the board compared noil to reed
in terms of ability/potential and how/why noil will be more successful than reed has been so far his career. particularly interested in people who
know the nola and river parish area and may have seen both of them in h.s.
your thoughts.

Played against T. Reed in high school, was in the same district and I played D against him. But watching noil play on tv and in person, I would say noil would be more of a promising recruit. Not saying T Reed wasn't good it's just that the raw talent he has is better than at the time, a well coached T. Reed.

Physically they are different guys, noil is more explosive than reed. As a high school athlete he reminds me more of skyler green. Projecting as a wr in college I could see someone like T.Y. Hilton being a comparison.

Speedy is Percy Harvin fast and Trovon not so much biggest difference in their games.

sorry he was injured at some point, I wish physical injury on no one, but Trovon's stats SUCK and it is regretful that his actions made him and another LA player bolt the state......the are now "paying the piper" and I for one LOVE IT! I understand AU was legit for a brief moment in time, but being coaxed there is THE difference between he and a sane prospect as Noil....
Oh, and Noil is similar but much faster.....Noil upside>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Reed and his sorry arse career
2012: Part of the rotation at wide receiver ... pair of catches for 37 yards against Arkansas, with a long gain of 31 yards ... six-yard reception at Vanderbilt ... two catches vs. Texas A&M ... 40-yard touchdown catch from Jonathan Wallace vs. New Mexico State ... nine-yard reception against Alabama A&M
2011: Played in 10 games with two starts ... 21 receptions for 164 yards ... 21 catches ranked fourth on team ... recorded the first receptions of his career against Utah State ... finished with four catches for 33 yards ... one reception for no gain against Mississippi State ... three catches for 31 yards at Clemson, while making first career start ... also rushed two times for 12 yards ... five receptions for 27 yards against Florida Atlantic ... returned from injury at LSU and had two catches for 26 yards ... started at wide receiver against Ole Miss - his second start of the season ... saw action at wide receiver against Georgia ... team-high four receptions for 44 yards against Samford ... two receptions for three yards against Alabama
2010: Appeared in one game, rushing twice for eight yards against Clemson

Dude chill out, trovon lost his mom in high school, maybe he wanted to just get away. Plus he didn't string LSU along.

I lost my father and what I wanted was to be around familiar people in a place that loved me....
NOT an excuse to go to a place where you barley see the field and have less contact with lifelong friends and fam..
He left because of Trooper and he is paying for it. And yes, his mom would have wanted him here, period...

Noil looks faster, although Trovon is a smooth athlete that is by no means slow. As a runner Noil looks tougher, Reed was a one cut and out race them guy, Noil can make multiple cuts and seems better at fighting off tackles when he is trying to change direction. I've already seen Noil catch more downfield balls in HS than I saw in all of Reed's highlight videos. So Noil already has that experience over Reed, who was mostly a RB.
Reed convinced a lot of people that his athletic ability could translate to being a SEC WR because his hands looked so good out of pads in camp. Different world.

Noil is slightly shorter, much quicker, much more explosive with the ball, better cod ability and just a better all around athlete. Put it like this, our staff loves Noil in the slot but also believes he is one of the top CBs in the country and on our board. That says a lot considering the CBs on the b oard
