Income Tax Question

I am a Louisiana resident, and I interned this past summer at a company in Virginia. What are the tax rules for the income taxes that were deducted form my paycheck in VA? DO I get that money back and pay it out to Louisiana?

You should file a non-resident return for Virginia.
You also have to file a resident return for Louisiana. Generally, you'll get a credit for the taxes you paid on that income in Virginia. If that doesn't cover the entire LA tax on those funds, you'll owe LA the difference. If the VA tax is more on those funds, you're SOL, i.e., LA doesn't pay you the difference.
