This is the one and only, the U of A doesn't even have one. My dad was going to donate it to the U of A but when someone called him he asked for his dad's picture to be included in them showing it in their museum. My grandfather was on this team which went 7-0 even defeating LSU 51-0. Now, what would you ask for it being there is not another one in existence and how would you advertise the sale? Thanks and by the way I am married to a cajun from Thibodaux. I lost both my parents in the summer of 2007 and my mother was also a internationally known steamboat artist who did many shows in New Orleans. We are redoing her website and should be finished soon but it is www.marionsue.com
This (below) is what I'd like you to answer, the price I should ask.
Thanks

I'd email this stuff to Jerry Jones and tell him to make you an offer.

Riverboat, Great painting of the Delta Queen. Did she do any pen and ink of the DQ?

Yes she did but I only have three left, one being the oil you saw and two watercolors. She even did things on burlap sack. If you are aware of he D Q then I'm sure you are aware of the fight to keep her on the rivers. As of this moment she has to quit carrying overnight passengers 11/1/08 with her last run ending in New Orleans. The fight in on, write your congressman (email) and join the fight if you wish.

Thanks for the comeback, I certainly appreciate it. I did email the cowboys office, maybe they will forward it to him. I don't know of any other way to contact him. Thank You.

I worked for DQSC through bankruptcy and Delaware North. I stayed with Ambassador till the NOLA office was closed(saw that train wreck coming). I am well aware of the shutdown. It's a shame.
As much as I respect those trying to save her, I think it is over. Hopefully she will become a museum. She is a fine boat. Did she do
any work for the MQ and AQ?

She did both both the M Q and A Q but the originals are sold. I do hold the copyrights to all of her work for 50 years after her death but I myself will have to pass that down to someone else, I don't see making it to 99, lol. Yes, it is a shame as there has just been one death aboard the D Q and it had nothing to do with the boat itself. I am in contact almost daily with those fighting to save the D Q and you are right, it is almost over. The government (taxpayer) had to bail out A I G and there is more coming. Not a good economy for most of the people anymore. I do have many more steamboat paintings you didn't see on that website and they will be coming out soon. The middle of October the website should be totally new. I also have a painting of the Delta King, actually only one left but will probably make about 400 prints but no lithographs as most artists do. If you know the riverboats then I can only assume you are aware of a historian buy the name of Alan Bates? He actually designed the modern day Natchez running in New Orleans.

I bookmarked your site and will return in October for the updated version. We had the HP and LP engine from the DK. I shipped them to Illinois when the wharf shutdown. I hope they are still there and not sold for scrap. I'm glad I had the chance to ride the DQ numerous times. I have heard of Alan Bates, I believe he does scale prints for riverboat modelers. Also,I believe he and Doc Hawley wrote some books together. The Natchez is a quick boat. But I think the DQ could beat her in a race longer than the races we held with her.

My hope is that the DQ is well protected when she gets shut down. Unlike the MQ which is in a sorry state. Being honest The MQ needs to be turned into a reef. I've seen the numbers to refurb her and I feel they are way short.

You may want to ask this on the More Sports or SEC Rant boards. There are probably more people with knowledge of memorabilia on one of them.

Any pics of the pennant? The link you gave didn't have one that I could see.

Thank you, I had not thought of that. The first link actually had a video on the page with very detailed closeup pictures of it. It is here, the video is on the right side, it may take a moment to load for you but I just checked and it is still there.

If you can't view the video here is another link.
