Well, no shite. Max has played way better than I expected him to, but it’s so obvious that Nuss is better. He was a swag to him, a confidence, am energy that brings to the field threat changes the entire energy of the offense. He’s a playmaker. He’s not afraid or intimidated. Hey may be too confident right mow and throw some picks. But he’ll make a ton of Lois rice plays too. And Ray Charles can tell he’s more physically gifted than Max. He has a much better arm, he’s faster, and he’s more elusive. But he’s decisive.
Max’s strengths were supposed to be his calmness, his being more polished and mentally ready because of who his dad is. And he’s the conservative one. Or was supposed to be. He’s had a nice TD to interception ratio, but he’s been lucky on a few balls that could have been picked. And turned the ball over on fumbles twice yesterday.
So even if Max is the more conservative option, I’d rather lose 41-13 with Nuss and have a chance to win than 38-21 with Max and not really have a chance.
The interesting thing about our situation with O, is what are his motivations. If he goes with Nuss amd he plays well, well then he’ll get crushed for not having gone to him earlier. On the other hand, does he want to get these young guys all the reps and get polished so the next coach can walk right in to an embarrassment of riche, win immediately, amd make O look even worse. Will be really interesting to see how he plays to the rest of the year.

One downside of nuss taking over is Jake Johnson likely gone, but I agree higher ceiling with Nuss
