re: Watch out for the OPD in Oxford

My daughter received a ticket for underaged drinking at the game in Oxford when Eli was QB. She had on her LSU Jersey at a sorority party and was ticketed when she was still on private property. She told me there were younger kids with OM shirts and they were left alone.

I said OK, BR underage drinking ticket was $100. I called the Oxford DA and asked how much and I’ll send a check. He told me $550. I said, “what?” He asked if I wanted the address and I told him no. I actually told him I would pay something reasonable but $550? KMA.

I hung up and told my daughter to not drive in MS for the next three years cause you will have a bench warrant on you if you are stopped for anything. She heeded my warning. That was 2005 I think. It’s probably a grand this year a ticket.

Oh and LSZu did kick Eli’s butt.
