Evidently the author or producer wants LOTR to be more diverse.
I've never seen it, but still that seems like an odd thing to be concerned about.

And, let me ask you this - is there not a danger in selecting someone for a job based on race, gender or sexual orientation? That doesn't raise any red flags with you?
