Many on that list have been taking on water for years and was just a matter of time before they capsized.
No. "Female empowerment" has nothing to to with this. Hooter's just hires unattractive women. The last few times I've been in one of these the waitress was either fat or looked like a meth whore.

Are strip clubs shutting down due to female empowerment?
Hooters is little more than a bikini bar that sells wings.
