I’ve been there before. Should be plenty of people out and about on a Saturday.

Not when it’s over 105 degrees outside in the summer.

Most people hike Camelback in the summer either really early in the am or right before it gets dark.

Also…he didn’t bring any water with him? Those that hike it regularly know you have to have water with you if you try to hike it in summer months.

I drank 10 bottles of water during the hike. I'm in decent shape and there's no way I could've made it without water.

Huh? The OP states he and a group of his friends were there in the morning. They saw the 2 persons of interest along with other third parties on the trail. So it definitely wasn’t isolated. Maybe not as crowded as the fall and winter but people were there.

Agreed that July heat sucks especially when it’s +115.

Also maybe the cop is innocent. He kept going up and she went down. They could have just gotten in a squabble about whether or not to continue on the hike. He wanted to continue but she didn’t. Hence he finished then took the Uber to meet her at the trailhead.

He wasn’t friendly with OP when he passed because they just had the argument. And the inconsistencies in his statement were because he was nervous about getting busted with his concubine.
