My picks would be Buffalo Trace (a National Historic Site, with a great tour), and Castle and Key. Castle and Key is a recently renovated castle/distillery built by Colonel E.H. Taylor later in his life (early 1900s I believe). The grounds there are beautiful, and they make a good product with their whiskeys.
I want to make a trip to the Bourbon Trail. Those are good picks, I am also planning on going to 4 Roses also
