It should be noted the Packers do not own Lambeau.
The city of Green Bay owns it.
Would that explain the lack of overall events that take place at Lambeau or is the blame on the fragility of the natural grass field? I know they had a Kenny Chesney concert there a few years back that produced some amazing police reports but it rarely gets used outside of Packers events.

I would think the city owning it would open it up to more events. I do think the Packers have some say on it however.
While it is a grass field, it is some sort of hybrid that I forget the name of. It doesn't get torn up with divots like Soldier Field nor does it turn into a mud pit like natural fields of the past. It holds up pretty well overall, but I do know that they don't like to do events during the season. UW-LSU and the planned UW-ND game there last year were only set up after a lot of negotiating as I understand.
