quote:Threads like these make this board unreadable at times. Often the insights are great here. Then you get a run of the most unimaginative regurgitation of bad takes, misconception, and lazy analysis and it makes you wonder how many trolls are on here just trying to either make LSU fans look bad or drive away intelligent discussion.
How the frick does your retarted arse know who is the guy that the team wants?
It's been stated over and over again that that if you listen to the original quote from O in context, he was clearly saying that when the time comes to name the starter, it is usually clear to everyone in the locker room who it will be. Yet, we still hear this BS that everyone but apparently the quarterbacks themselves have known for some time who it is and that and all of this fake competition is just the staff playing games and trying to manipulate them. Really? Or worse, that if we aren't playing games and trying to deceive and manipulate our quarterbacks, then we should be. Yeah, that will play really well next time O is in the living room trying to convince a parent to trust him with their kid's future.
How about it is what it is? There's a quarterback competition, it's currently neck and neck, and as much as reporters try their best to twist what is said in order to get more clicks and fans want to know who it will be, we're going to have to wait to see how it plays out.
Also, as fans we should appreciate every player in that locker room who is committed to being a tiger and helping this team be better. Sure, these kids need to have chest, thick skin, and not allow what idiots say on a message board affect them. But that doesn't mean that people on here shouldn't try to be more careful of what they say and how they say it from the player's perspective before they hit submit. It's called common decency.
