I’m thinking this guy wrote a letter way back asking the FDA to approve HCQ for CO19, to no avail, of course. I know it was a highly credentialed A&M heart doctor.

Hydroxychloroquine temporarily received an EUA for COVID-19 from the FDA. It was eventually revoked due to lack of benefit.

It was actually the head of Baylor School of Medicine and he is the personal cardiologist of the wife of a friend who is a retired med school prof/researcher. The couple has been taking HCQ weekly for over a year now.
