WWE Monday Night Raw Thread: Bobby Wants Who's Next Edition

The smoke is billowing that there will be even more big name returns to WWE coming very soon... even more than an old WCW head who is only liked by late 90s wrestling fans and no one else... or a certain lass kicker.
1 rumored potential surprise for tonight is "a Texan". I would not bet on Stone Cold as this seems to be someone coming back to wrestle... so... go think hard on that.
Kofi Kingston recently said during an interview that the New Day "fantasize" about turning heel again all the time. He goes on to say he understands New Day is so popular as a face and the group has worked "a little bit too well" so it's hard to go to Vince and pitch a heel turn when it's moving so much merch now.
WWE Monday Night Raw with all the fallout from Money in the Bank comes from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
WWE is only promoting 1 thing so far for tonight's show... and that's John Cena opening the show. A guy who will be fighting for the Universal Championship on Smackdown at SummerSlam will be on Raw for reasons tonight... and that reason is being a Hollywood movie star who sometimes wrestles now.
Of course Charlotte Flair should be around to celebrate her 4,854,894,897,468th championship victory.
Nikki A.S.H. should also be celebrate becoming Mrs. Money in the Bank.
Who could ever come out to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam? Who would Bobby consider as "next"?
Will AJ & Omos get new challengers?
Does anyone still care about the United States Championship and/or Sheamus?

Hopefully the Fiend returns tonight but I have my doubts

ETA: HBK fits the bill too. But I'm thinking Taker just because he retired without the crowd. Would be very cool to see him once more.

There are speculations that it could be the current NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez as she fits the above description. However, there is no confirmation yet.
Also makes a ton of sense...if she didn't have the belt.

Care to share the results from last night/standings? (Also, you might want to repost the Golden Briefcase rules in this thread too.)

Isn't there a new generation of Von Erich's coming up through the indies?

For what??
A 2 minute stinker of a match? Surely you're not going to have Lashley drop the strap to Goldberg? WWE is frustrating sometimes with their inability to let go of the past.

I’m going to tally them up during RAW. But since you guys won a title this year all of your points will be split between G and Sasquatch

So this is how we are going to do the Cash In picks this year.
The first kind will be called The Golden Briefcase and you’ll have one for each of the briefcases.
So the Golden Briefcase picks will be available from the time each MiTB match is won until RAW goes off the air the following night. The Golden Briefcase picks will each be worth 300 FWL points. In order to earn those 300 points you will need to get 3 things correct: 1. Who the briefcase is cashed in on, 2. When it’s cashed in (what event) and 3. The outcome of the match. It will be an all or nothing pick, so if you only get 2 of the 3 correct, no points will be awarded. You only get to make this pick from the end of the MiTB until the completion of RAW the next night, so use it or lose it. If the briefcase is cashed in before you use your Golden Briefcase (as in the bell rings), then your opportunity is gone.
Example: Asuka wins the match. You can say “My women’s Golden Briefcase pick will be cashed in against Charlotte Flair on the RAW after Summerslam and Asuka will win the title”.
We will also have regular cash in picks as well. You’ll get 3 for each briefcase to use at any point that will be separate from your Golden Briefcase picks. You’ll just have to call the cash in and outcome prior to the bell ringing for the cash in and you will earn 50 FWL points.
Example: Seth Rollins wins. Whomever the men’s champion at the time just won their match at any event and got a post match beat down. You can say “My 1st/2nd/3rd men’s MITB cash in is Seth Rollins against Champion X right now and Seth will win the title”. As long as you make the pick before the bell rings, you will get credit if your pick is correct. Once you make your official pick though, that counts as one of your three cash ins for that briefcase.
One thing I want to make clear is that when you are picking the outcome as it relates to the championship itself. So if you pick someone to win the title in their cash in, but they win via count out or dq, no title changes hands and you will NOT get the points. So make sure that when you make both your Golden Briefcase and regular cash in picks, you pick what will happen with the title, not necessarily who wins the match.

Do you guys think they were setting up an Edge Seth feud last night for Summerslam?
Posted on 7/19/21 at 6:40 pm to goldennugget
I’m not gonna lie to you sir, you sure seem to point out the obvious a lot….
Posted on 7/19/21 at 6:42 pm to goldennugget
No way. Seth is next in line. Said so himself. Definitely gonna be Roman vs. Seth at Summerslam.
