Most homeowners like living on a course and will help if they can. If I’m on the patio and see someone fire one over the green, which they cannot see, I will direct them towards the spot in the higher grass that I saw it go in. Speeds up their play and they appreciate it.

My wife did learn a lesson last week when mowing the grass . . . always glance down the fairway to see if someone is hitting an approach shot when you mow close to the course. A ball hit the steering wheel of the mower and scared the hell out of her. She could not hear the guy yell “Fore” over the mower. She said he was super apologetic and claimed how bad he sucked at golf To her credit, my wife told him not to worry about it and to have fun the rest of his round.
