Official Ban the Advoacte Until Dubois Lands a Job Thread

Who's with me? Nothing like pulling a power play on a Tuesday morning.
All kidding aside, I think it might send a message to the Butch at the Advocate, if he saw how much it hurt readership, the way he treated Carl Dubois.
How many people will actually stop reading because of this?

Sure, I'll do it. It's really not much of a sacrifice given the quality of articles over there. Their website will be getting no hits from me for awhile after today. LSUSports.net, WAFB, and WVLA are good enough.

Do we have to boycott Channel 2 also?

That newspaper is garbage anyway. Just hire Dandy Don and Pee Wee day from the Denham Livingston newspaper. and get it over with.

Naw, unless you have a Nielsen ratings machine at your house or something.

Randy Rossetta and his John Brady loving arse is enough for me not to buy or read the advocate. His sports pieces are pure shite

Well, as far as I'm concerned there is always 3 sides to every story. In this case its CDs side, the Advocates side annd somewhere in the middle the truth. I am sorry the man doesn't have a job but as far as I'm concerned the journalistic toilet just flushed another turd!

I had attempted to do a posting on some issues related to sleep apnea so that folks might understand what was happening to Carl, why he was panicking, etc., etc. Unfortunately, one of the esteemed administrators decided to pull the thread. However, left untreated, Carl Dubois' condition can not only mess with his ability to think, as well as produce some psychiatric symptoms (yes, when not treated, many of these folks get somewhat emotional), it can ultimately cause heart attacks and strokes. The condition is prominent in many middle aged folks - particularly men. However, one of the administrators was not concerned.
In any event, the Advocate can jump in the lake on this one. I am sure that Carl is not without his faults, but the Advocate could have been a little more humane.

I think we've all seen that hurricanes and other horrific events can bring out the best in some people and the worst in others. Let Carl's story be a lesson for everyone involved and all who read the thread.
Some irony here, and it's far from delicious........Carl worked for a paper called The Advocate.
