Brand: creed
Favorite scents:
1) light/hot/summery- virgin island water. There’s almost no occasion it is inappropriate. It’s truly unisex. Wife loves it. Smells like coconut and lime mostly in a super nice way.
2) essentially an every day one- Green Irish Tweed. Heavy on the vetiver. Maybe a bit more suitable for evening time or any time you would wear a suit it’s a great scent, fairly priced, but it may sometimes seem a bit “formal” for a day you’re in a t-shirt and headed to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings or so
3) a really formal, wood/spice heavy- Viking is great. I have smelled it but never owned it. It is a great scent. If I wanted something in this realm, I would get this one. I don’t have much need for this type of scent though
4) the one that gets people to stop and ask me what I am wearing because they like it: aventus. It’s truly always appropriate. Pretty light and airy but has enough “body” behind it that it doesn’t seem out of place when you’re in a more formal occasion. Probably the best description of it is “smoky pineapple,” but that doesn’t sound really appealing. It’s very expensive but very well worth the price if your nose likes it.
I wear Virgin Island Water most days from Spring to when fall starts turning cold. For a special occasion or when I want to really “dress it up,” I usually wear either Aventus (I got a bottle as a gift and have gone through about half a 3.3oz in four years) or Chanel Blue, which is pretty much the good/overpowering scent of Dillards.
A relatively underrated scent good for any occasion is Ralph Lauren Blue- it basically smells like cucumber on top of a number of other “blue” scents. It seems to not last a long time and isn’t particularly overpowering. To the point that you may consider it underwhelming.
That’s probably enough out of me, else people may find out that I’m really crazy...
