Solar is by far the largest footprint for energy. It’s really best deployed in useless places like Arizona and West Texas. But who am I to tell landowners and investors what to do with their land.

This thread actually brings up a good point, how different each gen type is and what they all need. Look at the discrepancy in FTE needed to run a 200MW and recovery unit compared to the solar. Jobs can be good, but solid state technology has benefits like lower labor costs. To get an idea how this all works you really need to compare the long term economics.
