re: So now I suddenly have a fear of bridges

Out of nowhere, I started having issues driving in the mountains a few years back (around the time I turned 50). After googling and trying to figure it out, I apparently have developed a fear of "no barriers". It has since progressed to fearing the outside lanes of tall bridges then getting too close to the edge of balconies in high-rises. I get the cold sweats when dealing with any of the above. No problems at all with planes .
