The PMAC will get a complete remodel soon, but anyone thinking they will demolish it and build from scratch is a fool.

LSU spent 40 million dollars to build a stadium for a sport (baseball) that makes no money. Build the damn new arena for the sport (basketball)that makes the second most money!

LSU baseball is one of the few baseball programs in America that operate in “the black”. LSU baseball is 100% self sufficient. Unlike all other LSU athletic programs (with the exception of basketball), LSU baseball is not reliant on football to pay it’s bills. That said, LSU baseball is heavily reliant on attendance to generate ample revenue to pay it’s bills. They do not operate at a deficit in normal years.

LSU baseball, one of the few baseball programs nationally to turn an annual profit, made a profit of $345,536 in 2018. That’s about $200,000 less than it had in 2017. The baseball team, which advanced to the NCAA regional championship series, made about $475,000 less in revenue in 2018. The Tigers received $61,801 in NCAA distributions in 2018 — far less than the $835,451 it hauled in during a run to the College World Series’ national championship series in 2017.

Baseball at LSU is a true championship program and has won more national titles in the last 30 or so years than any university in the country.
