Vitamin D is great for you regardless of COVID protection but ...

One of the issues with looking Vit D levels in COVID patients is that levels change very quickly. Someone may have normal levels but then get hospitalized with COVID and, without supplementation, those levels would begin to fall in just a few days. So it’s pretty difficult to measure whether Vit D deficiency makes COVID worse or whether severe COVID results in Vit D deficiency.
