Damn near every source out there( WebMD, CDC, etc.) unanimously claims that there are certain underlying medical conditions that put people at increased risk of severe illness or fatality, namely:
Obesity
Diabetes
Heart conditions
Asthma
High Blood Pressure
I believe Asthma, per se, has been identified as not increasing risk of severe outcomes. There are even a few studies that suggest that allergy-induced asthma mat actually reduce the risk of severe outcomes.
Nonetheless, your overall point is correct.
