That '97 ND game was the only home game I didn't attend that season.
Funny story, some Notre Dame fans from Alabama pulled into the Delchamps parking lot in Denham Springs where I was corralling shopping karts, and asked me directions to Tiger Stadium. I told them to exit O'Neal lane, make a left, and it would be next to Oak Cinema 8.
I was 16 and didn't really have compassion for opposing fans' time. They pulled in around 2pm, so they would have been late even if I gave them perfect directions to the stadium.
