The Woods request was a culmination of all the things Griffin was signaling that de-prioritized Woods on the roster and depth chart: Hayes, Favors, Melli, Okafor.
Turns out pretty much everything we needed we already had, and a few of us that stuck around in the dark days of post AD saw the potential. And he has only confirmed it as he went on to Detroit and soon onto Houston after becoming one of the most prized free agents.
Guys good, and I would gladly take him right now for 14 million over 3 years.
