So a shrimp boat captain was better than every coach in the history of college football. If you’re going to give him “full credit” then that is FULL F’ING CREDIT. Interesting.
I will say you are probably correct that he won’t top last year. But until they increase the number of games or increase the playoff size, no one will top last year. They may equal what LSU did last year, but you cannot top an undefeated national champion.

Even then, the odds of such a team playing the number of ranked teams from the start of the season, during the season, and at the end of the season are slim and none.
