If it makes you feel any better my F150 got hit directly by lightning a few years ago. $7500 and it took them 2 weeks to fix because they had to do one system at a time. They ended up replacing them all. Luckily, comprehensive insurance covered it. And I still have 2 little chunks of concrete missing where the tires were (two were on grass).
