I understand how tough it is, especially when you feel like you don't have the proper tools at your disposal. For guys like us environment can be everything.

Your eating plan sounds good, and I think walking is the best way for anyone to get back into it. Especially being a former athlete, your body is gonna drop those first pounds pretty quickly. After that it's all discipline.

Seeing people drop/be disabled because of neglecting their health is the worst. I come from a family filled with people on welfare (not all, some are very successful), but the way many of my extended family lives made me think that it was normal to look like you were 80 when you were in you were in your early 60s. It's not.

Good on you for trying. And remember that just because you slip up doesn't mean it's all for naught. Understand what happened and get back on the horse.

Update
I am thinking that I may just start doing weekly updates. I really like this log, but it was much easier to get into a routine of updating when I was waking up at 6 AM, and only had to work a few hours. Working these 10 hour days means that I have about 4 hours before getting ready and driving to work, and most of that is allocated to school.

Rest assured, I am still doing all the same stuff. Less running, mostly because of the temperatures, but I'm still hitting my caloric goals, doing the exercise bike, etc.

I am always searching for accounting internships, and since I am getting into my junior acct classes, maybe it will be easier to land one. As soon as I get back on a semi-normal schedule, daily updates will resume. Until then, it just doesn't take much of a priority.
