Actually, religion has a LOT to do with it. And there's nothing wrong with a person's religion. Personal religious beliefs shape a person's beliefs on everything in his life, so religious beliefs should not be dismissed on a personal level.

I couldn’t agree with you more. However, someone describing their political beliefs as “insert religion here” makes my skin crawl.
