I highly recommend getting the higher ADA compliant toilets, even if you're younger.

Dual flush toilets are nice. I guess they save on your water bill, although I can't fully tell.

If you want to go a cheap route, yet have all the good features, there's one at Sam's Club for about $90 that includes everything: ADA toilet, elongated, slow closing lid, dual flush, wax ring, and I think even a supply line.
Otherwise, there are some at Lowes and Home Depot that are nice for about $125.

Replaced a couple at this house. I think the one in the upstairs bath was original to the late 1960s. It was a short one with a round bowl. Replaced with chair height and elongated bowl. Put something similar in my master bath downstairs. I had put in an American Standard, but it was getting some cracks at the tank to bowl connection. Replaced with a cheap one with the old style flapper and it is great. All of the dual flush and power flush type flappers are just more things to break.
