In other words, each of these black franchisees had to have 500k liquid, and startup costs at minimum are $1mm.

Oppressed? Give me a frickin break. The franchise WINS if the franchisee at least breaks even.

A couple million bucks means jack squat to McDonald’s.

I wouldn’t be surprised if McDonald’s lowered their standards for certain franchisees and locations.

McDonald’s franchises are the holy grail. Minority franchisees are given highly coveted McDonald’s franchises, they make tons of money, but are now pissed because they didn’t make as much as the other franchisees.
