That’s gonna happen regardless of the refresh rate. The 120hz may be a bit less erratic (because it displays each frame for an equal amount of time), but those slow pans in movies will always look choppy simply because it’s filmed in 24p. You’ll even see it in a movie theater

Unless you turn the interpolation or motion smoothing feature on. But idk why the hell anyone would want to do that

Exactly what I've done with my TCL, called motion smoothing, but set at low. After experimenting I found the low setting was just enough to settle down the jitters but not so much that it caused the dreaded soap opera effect.
