I have last year's 6 series TCL Roku, and I love it and it got rave reviews or incredible picture quality for the price. Only issue with it is that it's a 60 hz panel, so that some pans for movies filmed in standard 24p can appear choppy, but otherwise the color, contrast, black levels is incredible, and I'm coming from high end but older Panasonic. This latest model with 120hz and mini led qled for similar price is incredible. TCL rocks, and so does Roku.

That’s gonna happen regardless of the refresh rate. The 120hz may be a bit less erratic (because it displays each frame for an equal amount of time), but those slow pans in movies will always look choppy simply because it’s filmed in 24p. You’ll even see it in a movie theater
Unless you turn the interpolation or motion smoothing feature on. But idk why the hell anyone would want to do that
