How is this greed, Football pays for most the other sports. I read this morning the Mac is in real trouble because it relied on playing road games against Power 5 teams...

Think of how many jobs will be lost at universities around the country? And it’s way beyond just sports. ESPN, ABC, CBS, etc...will all be letting go members of their various CFB production teams, beat writers let go, just so many unintended consequences that for some reason, people like Joe can’t see. And the local economies. Someone this week projected Tuscaloosa would lose $200 million in local revenue if Bama doesn’t have a season. I’m sure it’s like that at a lot of places.

People like him tend to think that you can just snap your fingers and everything will be back to normal (speaking about financially and economically) after taking a break and losing money. They don't get the damage that happens just so everybody can feel safe.

Case in point: look how many corporations out there have already cut out matching contribution on 401(k)? That's just the start of it. They start cutting out the benefits, then next come salary reductions, and worst case scenario cutting jobs.
