Unique situation
League covered up the incident and suspended him for a few games, then when the video leaked (which they had already seen) they RE suspended him for even longer because the heat they got from the public
So he fought that, and won and got the original suspension back, but the NFL is good at holding grudges and undoubtedly told teams not to touch him unofficially to help bury the story
