DIII doesn't work the way you think it does. There are no scholarships and no boosters.
Those schools don't rely on athletics for any kind of significant income. They will be fine.

D3 athletes are a different breed. Unlike many D1 athletes, sports aren’t the sole reason they’re in school.
Most of them will stay put and earn their degrees.
