You are correct. I used to have to go in there multiple times weekly for work for around 10 years and can’t tell you how many stories I heard of people being approached and being told they were hunting “their” spot. And, even though it’s wrong and illegal the hunt has then been ruined. Also, there is about 300 acres of privately owned land in the middle of Bayou Pierre WMA that is easy to accidentally wander on to if deer hunting and the owner will quickly prosecute. Red River WMA would probably be a better choice to check in to. It’s off of Grand Bayou and hwy 1.
