A reporter from LA stated that around 40,000 high school students (mostly minorities) didn't even log in one time for their virtual classes during the spring.
You're forcing parents to choose between their jobs and kids by making kids stay at home. That in and of itself is devasting for families.
Single moms from predominantly minority poorer communities now have their kids at home, they probably don't even have the equipment to do school from home and them being home is a distraction.
It's truly not hard to think why kids staying home would be a bad thing.
Your also depriving kids of social interaction something that's very key in their development as they grow.
