Hurricane Katrina permanently displacing people from the NOLA area was and is real. Seems to be 2 or 3 a year from Nola that now live in Texas. So I’d almost even say that the Nola talent is getting worse, not necessarily the state.

Fair to say that because of this, the op has a good question.

La has great talent. I’d rather have that talent back in Nola if it was doable.
