I don’t think so. They screen the husband and make him wear a mask the entire time. If husband is wearing a mask and all staff wearing a mask and they aren’t have physical contact....there would be no exposure from the husband.
It is also a payment thing as well....husband isn’t a patient of the hospital.
Staff aren’t having physical contact with the husband either like they are when caring for a laboring mother. Also....they aren’t expecting a woman in active labor to keep a mask on as well. So they need to know her COVID status ahead of time.
