If you're still asking this question, you don't yet understand that this is every company.

We are entering the Phase where companies now go public with their efforts to do this. It's no different than municipalities ordering their cops to execute non-complying perps then passing the buck to "independent review boards".

The single biggest things my company could do to help minorities would be

(1) to onshore manufacturing to depressed minority areas

(2) cut field headcount, increase wages and hours for hourly workers, begin applying predictable schedules for most work centers

(3) stop hiring the cheapest and most diverse Bay Area college grads to staff HQ, develop a genuine field -> HQ pipeline so that John or Jane Doe could start working the floor at $12/hr and see a path to corporate in front of them

Point #3 is the biggest roadblock to me. You have 80,000 candidates already working for you. You don't have to compete for them. You don't have to retrain them. With a commitment to remote work, you don't even have to find a regional fit. All you have to do is ask what they're interested in doing Next and find a way for them to do it.
