Did travel soccer for years and never regretted a dime. Best ever was a tourney where we could not get to the restaurant we were going on a Saturday night so one of the parents prepared gulf seafood poolside while we drank. It helped that the parent has multiple James Beard awards. I guess travel baseball is coming because my 5 and 6 year old love the sport and the 6 year old is already hitting homers.

If I had a dollar for everyone who is confident that their 6 year old will be playing travel ball...
Hitting a “homer” on a tiny field when your own coach is pitching directly to you does not mean you’re travel ball ready. Best of luck if it’s important to your kid, but there’s a lot more to it than that.
And prepare yourself in case it happens, travel baseball is considerably more time consuming than travel soccer.
