You have a lot more faith in Rob Manfred than I do.
That being said, I’m sure the March meetings were left at the point of “we will need to adjust as this virus develops, please be ready for more negotiations.” Seems very plausible.
Then, two months later the owners give the players a low ball offer with no concessions, based on an unsubstantiated claim of 40% loss in revenue.
Not exactly good faith negotiations, but I realize some people just want baseball back and are going to blame the people saying “no” regardless
