I’ve come to the realization that I could’ve been a lot of things. An important lesson I’ve tried to teach my kids is that your profession doesn’t have to define who you are.
What you do for a living is not your life.
I’m a teacher, but I’ve been a soldier, IT guy, govt contractor, etc. All of which I could’ve pursued a career and been happy. Same with doctor, park ranger, and a few others I’ve thought about.
