Well, she's a 'judge' only in title...basically the mayor of Harris County.
Still, I don't know what Harris County residents were thinking when they elected her.

I hope that if there is any silver lining to this, it comes in the form of Hidalgo diminishing any good will she may have had with the Harris County constituency, and that they remember when election time comes.
