First, they are social distancing almost to the same degree as Americans in effect. They don't have government-mandated lockdown but the vast majority are heeding the government recommendations in addition to the government closings.

It's not "business as usual" as many would like you to believe.

Second, they are experiencing higher cases loads and deaths per capita than their Nordic neighbors - which is really the only apt comparison given demographic and density realities.
