re: Ole Tulane Stadium

I've been in it a jillion times. Sugar Bowls, Tulane games, Saints games, Super bowls IV and VI, and a ZZTop concert where a riot broke out. I was there for John Gilliam's kickoff return and I was there when the cannon guy shot off his hand at halftime.

I grew up in the neighborhood and as a kid a bunch of us would ride our bikes there to play football on the practice field mostly but occasionally the stadium would be unlocked and we'd play in there.

As a Boy Scout I ushered Tulane games. As a delinquent teenager I would climb up the light towers to smoke weed on a platform they had up there at the top. That had to be about 70-80 feet up in the air. One time two of us in one light tower had a bottle-rocket fight with two friends in the next tower over.

I saved a few bricks as souvenirs when they tore it down but I have no idea what happened to them.
