Could he not have communicated with his superiors/etc. by other means other than a letter??? I mean if he had been at sea.......Sounds as if he wanted attention writing a letter and cc: 20-30 people. We don't need a 'cry baby' commanding a major U.S. warship. He got what he deserved, and frick the NYT
